Hi, I'm Irfani. I build AI/ML systems, and I care deeply about how people experience them.

A little about me,
in plain prose.

I'm an AI engineer working at the intersection of language models, agents, and retrieval — the end-to-end parts of building systems that need to stay useful after the demo ends. Currently at MNC Group; previously at Analitica, where I built Ica, a multi-agent tutor that served five thousand students a month.

I'm drawn to the quiet plumbing: long-term memory, function-calling, and the small act of getting a model to say "I don't know" when it should. Most of my favorite days look like evals, retrieval pipelines, and the slow work that makes a system feel honest rather than clever.

Based in Jakarta. I came up through ESG data work at Astra and sustainability ML at CESGS, then studied Data Science at Universitas Airlangga, where I led a small research community called IRIS. Co-author of a short paper on RAG for university chatbots (KST 2024).

Envel MCP — personal finance, agent-native

An AI-powered personal finance agent built on the Model Context Protocol. Implements envelope budgeting — every rupiah has a job — with a FastMCP server, OAuth 2.1 auth service, and a lightweight dashboard. Works with Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client.

Attend — real-time face-recognition attendance

A smart attendance system that identifies people through live camera feeds, logs events, and surfaces them in a dashboard. DeepFace for recognition, YOLO for segmentation, Next.js on the front. A companion repo wires the training and serving side with DVC and Docker.

An AI personal tutor serving 5,000+ monthly students at Analitica. Multi-agent with function calling, long-term memory on Pinecone, and real-time interactive widgets for calculus and physics — turning static answers into things you can poke at.

Hospitality LLM — fine-tuning Llama 3 for customer service

Fine-tuned Llama 3 with Unsloth and LoRA as a specialized customer-service agent. Benchmarked the retrieval stack on noise robustness, negative rejection, and counterfactual robustness — because eval is often harder than training.

Indo-LegalBERT — a language model that speaks legalese

Domain-adapted IndoBERT on 10,000+ Indonesian legal documents via masked language modeling. Deployed as an embedding layer to improve semantic retrieval over legal text.
